Additionally, some materials have a reduced carbon footprint of 10 to 70%, thanks to the use of bio-based or plant-based binders.

Colas has developed permeable pavements, like Urbalith and Vegecol, which allow rainwater to infiltrate the ground instead of running off and overwhelming drainage systems.
